Oliver LOKSACounsel, KNOETZL
Oliver Loksa is Counsel at KNOETZL. Oliver was born in Slovakia being of Hungarian descent and graduated in Austria. Not least thanks to such multi-cultural background he has quickly developed an enthusiasm for international Dispute Resolution.
He has been involved in international arbitral proceedings on a regular basis before most major arbitral institutions as well as in ad hoc-proceedings, arising particularly out of post-M&A and construction disputes. In addition to his activities in the field of Arbitration, he has advised financial institutions and corporations in multiple high profile criminal proceedings on matters of White Collar Crime and issues of Human Rights. Furthermore, he has advised Austrian and foreign corporations on M&A-activities as well as on questions of Corporate and Civil Law.
Oliver studied law at the University of Vienna and at the Eötvös Lorand University in Budapest and has gained experience by working at international law firms in Vienna and Budapest as well as at the Vienna International Arbitral Centre (VIAC). He speaks German, English, Hungarian and Slovak and is a member of numerous arbitration associations as well as contributor to the Slovak Arbitration Blog (SlovArBlog). Oliver also regularly holds lectures at national and international conferences on Dispute Resolution-related issues.
