Jennifer Younan is a partner at Shearman & Sterling based in the firm’s Paris office. She advises and represents States, State-owned entities and companies in international commercial arbitrations and investor-State arbitrations under bilateral and multilateral investment treaties, with a focus on matters related to Eastern Europe and CIS States. Jennifer Younan joined Shearman & Sterling in 2003. Prior to that, she clerked for the Hon. Michael Kirby AC CMG, Justice of the High Court of Australia. She holds a LL.B. and a B.Com. from the University of New South Wales (Australia), as well as a B.C.L. and a M.Phil. from the University of Oxford. She is admitted to the bars of New South Wales (Australia), England & Wales and Paris (as a foreign qualified lawyer).
